We had a full weekend ❤️
The kids all hiked 2.5km, then we came home and had a backyard campout. All 3 were in the house and in their own beds by 11pm. 🤣
Miss 5 went in to use the bathroom and was too nervous about all the junebugs to go back out. Mr 1 was way too excited to settle down and Miss 3 just wanted to sleep in her bed.
Any tips would greatly appreciated as we have a camping trip coming up in a few weeks 😅 !!
It was a good effort though!
Sunday we spent some time with family and swimming with cousins.
Then last night we heard about the fires. We are grateful to not be near any of them so far but we are so sad to be hearing about all of the destruction and missing animals. Keep NS in your thoughts today as many families have been evacuated from their homes.

If you know us in person, then you know that little Miss 3 HATED going outside last year. We would take the kids to the skate park and she would rather sit in the car. Tried taking them sledding and she wouldn't let me put her down to play in the snow.
Over this winter she went outside a bit more but still doesn't like the cold (I can't blame her there, neither do I 😅).
Her older sister on the other hand loves being outside, no matter the weather and I think it's starting to rub off on Miss 3. She now wants to go outside from the moment she wakes up and asks to go out on walks almost every day.
I was worried about how camping would go since she preferred hanging out at home but now, I think we will be okay.
Looking forward to our road trip in a few weeks ❤️

From the sleepless nights and endless diaper changes to the constant worry and stress that comes with raising children, being a mom is a full-time job that never ends.
Today isn't just about being appreciated for the work we do. It's also about the love and the bond we share with our children. The hugs, the kisses, the laughter, and the tears.
Whether we're baking cookies, playing games, or just snuggling on the couch, these moments are what make motherhood so special.
So today, I want to take a moment to thank my kiddos for making me a mom. I'm so incredibly lucky to be their mom!
And to you mama, You are doing an amazing job! You are appreciated, you are loved, and you are making a difference in the world. ❤️

There's nothing like seeing the world through their eyes 🌎
We can get so caught up in the day to day that we forget to stop and appreciate the little things around us. But whenever I take the time to observe the world along with my kiddos, I'm reminded how to slow down.
They have a unique perspective on life. They see things I don't and approach the world with a sense of curiosity. Whether it's a butterfly fluttering by, a bird pecking a tree, or throwing rocks into water, they always find joy in the simple things.
Taking time to explore with our kids helps us see the world with fresh eyes!

Oh, the joys of parenthood! 😉
One of the most wonderful sights in the world is seeing your child's face light up at the sight of a muddy puddle. And as a mom, it can be tempting to put your foot down and insist that your little one stays clean and dry. But trust me, letting your kids splash in puddles and get dirty is worth it.
Here's why:
1. There's nothing quite like the feeling of pure joy and freedom that comes with splashing around in a puddle. Watching your child giggle and jump up and down in a muddy puddle is a priceless moment that you (and they!) will treasure forever.
2. Getting dirty is good for your child's immune system. Yep, you heard that right! Exposure to dirt and germs can actually help to build up their immune system and make them less susceptible to illness in the long run.
3. Letting your kids get dirty and play freely in nature is a great way to help them develop their creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills. As they explore their surroundings and figure out ways to navigate muddy puddles, they are learning important life skills that will benefit them in the future.
So, next time you're out and about with your little ones and they start eyeing up a muddy puddle, resist the urge to say no. Instead, embrace the mess and let them jump in with both feet! Your child's laughter and joy will make it all worthwhile.
